7 Websites that Pay Writers $100 or More Per Article.

The following is a list of websites that pay writers $100, or more, for articles. Included is a wide variety of websites that cover many topics.

1. Upworthy seeks to publish original stories that support their mission of “creating a better world.” They are a social-media driven website, thriving on clickbait articles posted on websites such as Facebook. Several sources have reported they pay $150 per article, plus a $50 bonus if an article is posted on Facebook. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.

2. Entelligent is a website for investors interested in energy trading, the U.S. energy industry, and environmental, social, and government investing. They publish articles from business journalists, financial analysts, and climate scientists. They pay $180 per article. To learn more, read their submission guidelines

3. Serious Eats @ Medium is the member’s only version of the website Serious Eats. They publish articles about food, cooking, and eating. They pay $100 per article – 800 to 2,000 words. 5. WriterHackr is a new digital magazine for writers. They are for all kinds of writers – “authors, bloggers, copyrwriters, experts.” They pay $50 to $100 per article. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.

7. A List Apart publishes articles about web design, development, and web content. They want to publish articles that will “challenge our readers and move our industry forward,” or give readers “a fresh perspective on a topic that’s keeping you up at night.” They pay $50 to $200 per article.
