Lake Forest College and &NOW Books are currently hosting the Madeleine P. Plonsker Emerging Writer’s Residency Prize.

This year, poets under forty may apply for the prize, which includes $10,000 and a three-week residency at the college. The residency starts in 2018.

This prize is only for writers who have not published a book.

The residency is at the college, but there is no teaching requirement. The winning writer, however, will be expected to participate in a literary festival, and offer a series of presentations.

The application deadline is March 1, and only the first 200 applicants will be considered!
